Jobs are a major gameplay mechanic in Little King's Story. As part of King Corobo's reform for the Kingdom of Alpoko, he introduces new Jobs for citizens that become available when the certain buildings are built in the kingdom. These buildings are specific to their town or city, meaning Corobo must defeat Guardians to unlock new Job Classes.
In practice, the Jobs each have unique abilities and purposes. The player must customise which jobs are in their Royal Guard for each mission, to specialise the team for different scenarios. For example, a player may prepare to explore an area with a lot of construction by having more Carpenters within the Royal Guard. Culture reports and God Memos also advise Corobo as to which Jobs he should bring to certain areas and King fights.
Jobs are cycled by pressing down on the Wii Remote's D-pad during gameplay, and have a set order.
Jobs[]
When using the Podium to call forth citizens, the citizens are broken down by what job they perform.
Royal Guard[]
Calls forward every citizen holding a Royal Guard badge. Corobo may hire them all at once, or confiscate all their badges.

Secret Jobs[]
There are three secret classes that are only unlocked after several prerequisites are met. This usually involves pouring money into a certain area of Alpoko or beating one of the kings in the surrounding lands.
Steel Knight - The knight is unlocked after buying all armor and weapon upgrades for your citizens. These are first added to the kingdom plans when Howser notifies you that a traveling merchant wishes to speak with you. However, you must buy the previous weapon and armor enhancements before the merchant approaches you with the next upgrade. Eventually he will offer you a suit of rare armor. Once you buy this, check the castle between 10pm and midnight. You should find the suit of armor moving. Follow it to the town center where you can recruit the knight to your royal guard.
Rainbow Wizard - The wizard appears in Magical Land at midnight. However, he/she only appears after the player has held an audience with a carefree adult, saying that the wizard is appearing at magical land at the aforementioned time. After this event, the player can recruit the wizard at any time after they have been notified of the wizard's presence.
Brainy Doctor - Once King Corobo completes the Royal School funding side missions, A Carefree Adult will tell Corobo about a Doctor wandering around Glamour Town.
